What is a Pumpkin Smash?
The Pumpkin Smash is a community-wide effort to divert pumpkins from landfills by turning jack-o'-lanterns into nutrient-rich compost. We're hosting a continuous drop-off from October 1 through December 31. This gives you plenty of time to bring in your unpainted pumpkins, save on your next purchase, and keep organic waste out of local landfills. Don’t Trash It, Smash It!

Terms and Conditions
Must present coupon at time of purchase. One coupon per household. Coupon valid for PICK-UP ONLY, not valid for dumping or delivery. Minimum purchase of one cubic yard or four bags of bagged material. Coupon valid from October 1, 2026 to April 1, 2027. Any unused coupon will be forfeited after April 1, 2027. Pumpkins must be free of paint, glitter, or other decorations to qualify for composting and coupon.
